The new “Hacker-paragraph” §202c StGB!

Now they have done it! Since 25nd May, the german government changed a law against computer criminality. Now it’s illegal to distribute, build and use software which could be used for attacking computers.hacker_penalties.gif

This means also that the evil tools like "nmap" will be removed from every linux distribution e.g. Ubuntu, SuSE … And what about firefox ? It could be a computer attack, when you access a webserver, without asking the webmaster. Im very curious about the new distribution releases … to see what have been removed from their repos.

In short:

If you own any hacker tool which "aim is to commit a crime"…

  • nmap
  • metasploit
  • any penetration testing tool in general
  • port scanners
  • network analyzers?
  • debugger tools? gdb, …
  • browser?
  • network tools? ping (flood) ? tracert :)

… you’re signing up for one year in jail or a hefty fine. For the german folks:

  • Newtonsoft Json.NET

    From the readme.txt:

"The Json.NET library allows the simple and safe reading and writing of JSON objects from .NET. Using readers and writers, similar to .NET’s XML API, Json.NET will be familiar to most .NET developers and makes passing messages between .NET and JavaScript a snap.

  • back from hell ;)

Finally Ive found the time to update my wordpress version (shame on me and happy about that nobody have defaced my site). Behind the new wordpress version Ive also changed my blog theme. It is a great three column theme for you called Illacrimo. Created by Design Disease, and released on LifeSpy. It is the third free theme that Bloggy Network has released. Illacrimo has a strong color set, that should appeal to many, and works well with the plugins we have included in the download file, or without. So stay tune to read new articles on c#/mono, new reverse engineering adventures and about new tools …
