Last day Ive read an interesting post about 7 lessons Olympians can teach internet entrepreneurs. I believe that these lessons are also valid for other groups or companies. Here there are:

While surfing around and reading news I discovered an interesting project named fonie. To make it short it offers an voice tel within your browser. You dont need to install a plugin or other software. From the technology part what are they doing ? Fonie.de is using adobe flash to grant access to your microphone and webcam for their webbrowser video-telephony.
If you want to test it just visit their homepage and start a new call. You will receive a link that you can send to your friend … The sound quality is not the best but I believe that this will be changed soon if a big Investor will help them

Now they have done it! Since 25nd May, the german government changed a law against computer criminality. Now it’s illegal to distribute, build and use software which could be used for attacking computers.

This means also that the evil tools like "nmap" will be removed from every linux distribution e.g. Ubuntu, SuSE … And what about firefox ? It could be a computer attack, when you access a webserver, without asking the webmaster. Im very curious about the new distribution releases … to see what have been removed from their repos.

Finally Ive found the time to update my wordpress version (shame on me and happy about that nobody have defaced my site). Behind the new wordpress version Ive also changed my blog theme. One important thing beside a stable application is the look and feel of the application. This means you must care about good (beautiful) gui stuffs like buttons, icons … I think nobody is able to create own icons. For this reason there are very beautiful icons around you can also use for commercial applications. An example for this are nuvola icons licenced under the LGPL licence.
